Motion Recruitment is assisting a fintech client in Wilmington, NC to hire a Senior AI/ML Engineer with strong Python skills. You will design and maintain production-grade Python systems powering proprietary forecasting and market-intelligence tools for hedge funds and trading desks.

You will develop AI/ML models, integrate them into scalable pipelines, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, testable software in production environments.

Qualifications

• Strong professional experience building production Python applications.
• Hands-on AI/ML background (model development, integration, or deployment).
• Solid software engineering fundamentals — testing, version control, code quality.

Responsibilities

• Python Engineering: Design, build, and maintain production-grade Python systems that power forecasting tools.
• AI/ML Development: Develop, integrate, and deploy AI/ML models for price forecasting of commodities and financial instruments.
• Collaboration & Integration: Partner with engineering, quantitative, and product stakeholders to translate complex requirements into scalable solutions.
• Quality & Reliability: Write testable, maintainable code and support performance, accuracy, and reliability of deployed systems.
