Job summary

Hoplon InfoSec, LLC is seeking a Senior AI/ML Engineer in Oak Brook, IL to design, build, and deploy production-grade ML models and AI systems. You will lead end-to-end ML pipelines from data exploration to scalable deployment and monitoring.

The role requires 5+ years of hands-on experience with Python and ML frameworks, cloud and MLOps, and the ability to mentor engineers while shaping the AI roadmap.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering and production-level machine learning/AI.
• Fluency in Python and strong expertise with modern ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX).
• Strong fundamentals in object-oriented/functional programming, system design, data structures, and writing clean, testable code.
• Demonstrated experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and orchestration tools (Airflow, Kubeflow, or MLflow).
• Track record of serving models at scale using frameworks like Triton, vLLM, FastAPI, or TorchServe.
• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, or related quantitative field (or equivalent practical experience).

Responsibilities

• Model development and optimization: design, train, evaluate, and fine-tune machine learning and deep learning models.
• Production MLOps: build, deploy, and maintain scalable ML pipelines, REST/gRPC APIs, and automated model monitoring tools using CI/CD best practices.
• Architecture and scalability: optimize model latency, memory footprint, and throughput for high-concurrency environments (quantization, caching, distributed inference).
• Data engineering collaboration: partner with data teams to design feature stores, optimize data pipelines, and ensure high-quality training/testing datasets.
• Generative AI integration: integrate and fine-tune large language models (LLMs), RAG architectures, or multimodal models into our core application stack.
• Mentorship and strategy: mentor mid-level engineers, drive engineering standards, and help shape the long-term AI roadmap.
