Job summary

clearer.io is hiring a Senior AI/ML Engineer to design, build, and run production AI/ML systems, from traditional models to LLM-driven agents. You will lead AI initiatives, mentor engineers, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver impactful solutions.

You will develop scalable pipelines on Databricks and AWS, create agentic workflows, and optimize performance across training and inference while upholding responsible AI practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on machine learning systems and deployment.
• Proven track record of deploying AI/ML solutions at scale in production.
• Experience in NLP, search, recommendation systems, CV or generative AI.
• Experience leading end-to-end AI/ML delivery including design and operations.
• Experience using AI coding assistants (Cursor, Copilot, Codex) for development.
• Familiarity with LLM-powered productivity tools for documentation search and data exploration.
• Has integrated AI tools to improve engineering efficiency with measurable impact.
• Keeps building AI skills and stays current with new AI technologies.
• Excellent communication and mentorship skills.
• Good English communication skills (written and verbal).

Responsibilities

• Design, build and run production AI/ML systems from classic models to LLM-based apps.
• Lead technical work on large AI systems and mentor engineers.
• Develop scalable ML pipelines on Databricks and AWS for ingestion, features, training, evaluation and serving.
• Build agentic workflows that combine models, tools and data for multi-step tasks.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in training and inference.
• Set up evaluation frameworks including offline/online tests and guardrails.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate product requirements into production-ready systems.
