Job summary

Testing Site - JPMC in Jersey City is seeking a Senior Applied AI/ML Associate to revolutionize how the Private Bank services and advises clients through autonomous AI agents and GenAI solutions. You will leverage NLP/LLM, machine learning, and cloud-enabled software to transform workflows and drive client-centric outcomes.

You will analyze data, build production-grade Python code, and collaborate across teams to deploy scalable AI solutions that enhance investment processes and client services,

Qualifications

• Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in a quantitative or technical discipline or significant practical industry experience.
• 4+ years applying NLP, LLM and ML techniques to high-impact problems (semantic search, information extraction, QA, summarization, classification, forecasting).
• Advanced Python programming skills with production-quality code.
• Knowledge of ML fundamentals (clustering, decision trees, gradient descent).
• Hands-on experience with deep learning toolkits such as PyTorch, Transformers, HuggingFace.
• Strong knowledge of language models, prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and domain adaptation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement GenAI and Agentic AI solutions using Python.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business needs and develop NLP/ML solutions.
• Apply LLMs, ML techniques, and statistical analysis to improve decision-making and workflows.
• Collect and curate datasets for model training and evaluation.
• Experiment with model architectures and hyperparameters and assess results.
• Monitor and improve model performance through feedback and active learning.
• Collaborate with technology teams to deploy models in production.
• Present modeling results to business and technical stakeholders.
• Stay up-to-date with research in LLM, ML and data science.
