Job summary

RITS in the United States is seeking an experienced Senior AI/ML & Data Engineer to join a long-term project for an international client. The role blends data engineering, AI/ML and Intelligent Document Processing, with a strong focus on the Microsoft Azure ecosystem.

You will design and build scalable data solutions and AI-driven automation, leveraging Azure Databricks, Synapse, Data Lake and AI services to enable multilingual document processing and enterprise insight.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with data engineering on Azure.
• Hands-on with Azure Databricks and Synapse Analytics.
• Experience with OCR/IDP and multilingual documents.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and optimize data processing solutions within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem.
• Build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Databricks and Azure Synapse Analytics.
• Develop OCR-based and Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) solutions for automated document processing.
• Extract, transform and integrate data from documents into enterprise applications and reporting systems.
• Work with Azure Data Lake and modern data architectures.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for AI-driven process automation.
• Participate in solution architecture discussions and contribute to DataOps best practices.
• Support the implementation and development of AI and Machine Learning initiatives.
• Work with multilingual documents, forms and unstructured data.
• Contribute to new AI/ML automation initiatives emerging within the project pipeline.

We are looking for an experienced Senior AI/ML & Data Engineer to join a long-term project for an international client.

The role combines Data Engineering, AI/ML and Intelligent Document Processing, with a strong focus on the Microsoft Azure ecosystem. You will be responsible for designing and developing scalable data solutions, AI-driven automation, and OCR-based document processing pipelines using technologies such as Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake and Azure AI services.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and optimize data processing solutions within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem.

Depending on the project roadmap, you may work on initiatives such as:

• OCR automation for cash register reports.
• Intelligent extraction of data from receipts and invoices.
• Automated document data extraction and integration with downstream systems.
• Digitization and automation of paper-based customer surveys.
• Combining OCR, text analytics and sentiment analysis.
• Processing and understanding multilingual documents and forms.
• Developing new AI-driven automation solutions as part of the client's innovation pipeline.

We are looking for:

• Strong professional experience in Data Engineering.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks.
• Solid experience with Azure Synapse Analytics.
• Very good knowledge of Microsoft Azure Cloud services.
• Practical experience with Azure Data Lake.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with:
• SQL Server
• SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services)
• SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services)
• SSAS (SQL Server Analysis Services)
• Experience with:
• Data Modeling
• Data Warehousing & Business Intelligence
• Data Mining

• Previous exposure to Machine Learning projects.

• Familiarity with modern AI-assisted software development practices.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in an international, distributed team.
