Job summary

DoorDash is seeking a Principal Engineer to lead AI-first experiences in ads and promotions. You will shape ranking, personalization, and decisioning across search and discovery, using state-of-the-art ML/LLM techniques and production-grade systems.

You will own the end-to-end model lifecycle and work with product, data science, and engineering teams at scale. You will drive research-to-production, evaluate models via offline and online experiments, and ensure latency, reliability, and market

Qualifications

• 5+ years building, deploying, and scaling ML/AI models for large-scale products.
• Proficiency with AI tools in full SDLC including coding, testing and release.
• BS, MS, or PhD in CS/Engineering or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Apply ML/LLM techniques to personalization, query understanding and content understanding.
• Rigorously evaluate models with offline analysis and online experiments; design metrics and tests.
• Own model lifecycle from data analysis to deployment and monitoring.
