Job summary

Dolby seeks a Senior Staff AI / Machine Learning Architect to translate advanced ML research into production-ready solutions across Dolby's audio, video, and personalization products. You will bridge research and product engineering, guiding architectures that unify DSPs, hardware accelerators, and ML models across cloud, edge, and embedded environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in EE/CS or equivalent practical experience.
• Hands-on AI/ML and embedded software engineering experience.
• Strong production-grade code and delivery pipelines experience.
• Experience with at least one major AI/ML framework and ability to learn others.
• ML model deployment experience (quantization, pruning, distillation).
• Edge/on-device ML with latency, power, memory constraints.
• Familiarity with CPU/GPU/NPU/DSP architectures and toolchains.
• Experience in audio, video, signal processing or codecs.

Responsibilities

• Define AI/ML strategy across core areas (audio, video, personalization) for cloud, edge, and embedded.
• Bridge ML research and engineering; define architectures with DSPs and accelerators.
• Partner with platform managers to integrate ML models into shipped products.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering to govern data sourcing and pipelines.
• Work with QA to develop testing methodologies for AI/ML systems.
