Job summary

Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP is seeking a Senior Innovation Engineer to design and deliver secure, scalable AI and low-code solutions for attorneys and business professionals. The role supports the AI & Innovation team, ships Harvey workflows, and runs Power Automate/Power Platform builds across California offices.

The engineer will work in-office three days a week, engage in interactive AI sessions, and serve as a trusted AI advisor while collaborating with Learning & Technology Adoption teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Legal Studies, Data Science, or related field.
• 3–6 years in legal technology, enterprise solutions, knowledge innovation, or related professional services.
• Hands‑on experience with at least one generative AI platform—Harvey preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and Power Platform, notably Power Automate and Power Apps; SharePoint Online is a plus.
• Working knowledge of RAG patterns, vector stores, and grounding for legal content.
• Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, and basic scripting (JavaScript, Python) is a plus.
• Strong facilitation and communication skills for presenting to partners.
• Solid grounding in data governance and responsible AI in a law‑firm context.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and deploy Harvey workflows in partnership with practice groups across multiple practices.
• Develop Power Automate and Power Platform solutions linking Harvey, M365, SharePoint, and firm systems of record.
• Build and maintain RAG knowledge bases with secure, context-aware outputs.
• Contribute to reusable workflows and templates for rapid deployment across matters.
• Apply Willkie’s Responsible AI principles in every build.
