Job summary

ASME, The American Society of Mechanical Engineers, seeks a Principal AI & Knowledge Graph Architect to lead the IT transformation of standards into intelligent digital assets. You will drive AI-enabled engineering use cases, knowledge graph design, and enterprise-level interoperability across CAD, PLM, MBSE, and digital twins.

• Experience designing enterprise-scale knowledge graphs and semantic models.
• Ability to lead complex technical transformation initiatives across data and AI domains.
• Proven governance and validation frameworks in regulated or technical environments.
• Strong understanding of interoperability standards, APIs, and machine-readable architectures.
• Strategic technical leadership across executives, SMEs, and partners.

Responsibilities

• Define multi-year strategy and roadmap for digital engineering knowledge platform.
• Lead integration of standards intelligence with CAD/PLM/MBSE and AI tools.
• Establish a unified platform connecting standards, content, and APIs.
• Set HITL validation, guardrails, and governance for AI usage.
• Collaborate with Legal, Product, and Technology teams to align strategy.
