Responsibilities

Senior Solutions Architect

Location: Houston preferred; Texas-based candidates considered | Experience: 10+ years | Pay: $190K-$240K + 20-25% bonus

About the Role

You'll design and deliver AI-enabled, cloud-based solutions for enterprise clients in a hands-on technical leadership role that spans discovery, solution design, proof of concept, and delivery oversight. This role is based in Texas, with Houston preferred, and includes up to 50% travel.

You'll work closely with the company's AI platform and serve as a technical lead across the full client lifecycle, from early solution shaping through implementation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead customer discovery to identify business objectives, technical constraints, and solution opportunities
• Translate business needs into scalable architectures, technical designs, project scopes, and statements of work
• Architect AI solutions using LLMs, RAG, agentic workflows, vector databases, embeddings, and prompt engineering, grounded in strong cloud and application architecture
• Build proofs of concept, MVPs, and reference architectures that validate the approach and help speed delivery
• Act as a trusted technical advisor to clients across sales, implementation, and delivery
• Partner with product and engineering to improve platform capabilities and define integration patterns
• Establish architecture standards, governance practices, and reusable frameworks
• Mentor engineers on system design, AI implementation, and software architecture
• Support pre-sales work through solution presentations, demos, and customer workshops

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in solution architecture, software engineering, distributed systems, or cloud technologies
• Hands-on professional experience applying AI and LLMs in real software delivery
• Experience delivering enterprise applications with modern frameworks, including Python (FastAPI, Flask, Django) and/or Node.js, TypeScript, React
• Proven experience architecting AI patterns such as RAG, vector databases, embeddings, prompt engineering, and agentic workflows
• Experience deploying on Azure, AWS, GCP, or SAP BTP
• Strong grounding in application architecture, distributed systems, SDLC, and enterprise integration
• Customer-facing experience leading discovery sessions, design workshops, and technical consulting engagements
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Preferred experience with microservices, event-driven systems, DevOps/MLOps, containerization, Kubernetes, and enterprise security frameworks
• Experience delivering AI solutions in regulated or complex enterprise environments is preferred
