Job summary

Moonlite is building a comprehensive infrastructure platform that unites bare-metal servers, GPU clusters, and high-performance storage with programmable control planes. You will help design orchestration, APIs, and automation to enable thousands of servers and petabytes of storage to operate as a unified, scalable system for AI research and HPC workloads.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software engineering with infrastructure platforms or cloud platforms.
• Strong familiarity with Kubernetes and container orchestration concepts.
• Understanding of compute orchestration, storage, and networking integration.
• Experience with systems programming languages (Go, C/C++, Rust, Python).
• Experience with Linux in production environments and virtualization.

Responsibilities

• Design and build an orchestration layer bridging physical infrastructure with customer-facing services.
• Provisioning research computing environments including Kubernetes and SLURM clusters for automated deployment.
• Develop platform orchestration to coordinate compute, storage, and networking for complex workloads.
• Automate network provisioning including VM placement, VLAN/subnet config, and software-defined networking.
• Create robust APIs and SDKs for programmatic infrastructure management across domains.
• Implement observability, telemetry, and logging to monitor infrastructure health and performance.
• Optimize services for high-throughput, low-latency networking for AI workloads.
• Collaborate with engineering, infrastructure, and product teams to define requirements and roadmaps.
• Ensure platform-wide security and compliance features with audit logging and access controls.
