Job summary

Amazon in Arlington, VA is seeking a Senior Forward Deployed Engineering Manager to lead 15–30+ FDEs across multiple enterprise customers. You will define the delivery model, set engineering standards, and shape talent strategy at scale.

You will own org-level outcomes, influence technical direction across customer programs and AWS teams, and drive measurable business impact while partnering with senior leadership and customer executives.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of engineering experience.
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.
• 5+ years of engineering management experience, including managing managers or large teams.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery across multiple customer engagements and FDE pods. Staff and structure teams for optimal coverage.
• Set the technical direction for complex AI programs and align with AWS teams.
• Define operational standards and production readiness criteria for AI systems.
• Hire, coach, and develop FDE talent across levels and manage performance.
