Job summary

Teaching Strategies is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Platform Engineer to evolve our internal platform into an AI-first, self-service system on AWS EKS. You will lead efforts to abstract cloud complexity, build extensible tooling, and empower developers with context-aware workflows.

You will design multi-tenant Kubernetes platforms, implement AI-assisted interfaces, and drive observability, security, and scalability while collaborating across teams to ship impactful platform capabilities for

Qualifications

8+ years in infrastructure, SRE, DevOps, or platform engineering.
Proven experience building or contributing to internal developer platforms.
Deep expertise in AWS, especially EKS, IAM, and networking.
Strong programming skills (Python or Go).
Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code, GitOps, and cloud-native architectures.
Experience integrating AI/LLMs into developer workflows.
Familiarity with developer tooling (CLIs, SDKs, portals).
Ability to design adaptive, intelligent automation and platform capabilities.

Responsibilities

Partner with platform leadership to evolve the internal developer platform toward an AI-first model.
Translate strategic direction into practical, scalable implementations.
Help shape platform capabilities through hands-on engineering and technical input.
Design and implement self-service infrastructure systems that abstract away cloud complexity.
Build APIs, CLIs, and developer-facing tools for provisioning without deep cloud expertise.
Introduce AI-assisted interfaces for provisioning, debugging, and operations.
Design, build, and operate secure, multi-tenant Amazon EKS clusters.
Implement policy, networking, and workload isolation best practices.
Build systems that interpret infrastructure signals and provide actionable insights.
Develop AI-assisted workflows for incident triage and runbook execution.
Enable human-in-the-loop automation for safe remediation.
Develop platform SDKs, CLIs, and service templates for standardized consumption.
Contribute to AI-powered copilots and assistants to boost productivity.
