Senior AI Engineering Leader - Hybrid Pasadena, CA - $220,000 - $275,000 base salary + bonus

Looking to shape the future of Generative AI within a highly regulated enterprise environment? This Senior AI Engineering Leader role brings the opportunity to join a leading financial services organization and play a foundational role in building enterprise-scale AI capabilities, establishing engineering standards, and driving responsible AI adoption across the business.

The team is focused on turning AI pilots and proofs of concept into secure, measurable, and production-ready solutions that improve employee productivity, customer experience, automation, risk management, and operational efficiency.

Who you are:

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, AI/ML, data engineering, cloud architecture, or technology leadership, with strong expertise in Python and enterprise application development.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience building Generative AI solutions using Azure OpenAI and related technologies including RAG, vector databases, agentic workflows, and LLM orchestration frameworks.
• Proven experience deploying AI solutions from concept through production in financial services, fintech, insurance, or other highly regulated environments.
• Strong leadership experience mentoring engineers, influencing executive stakeholders, and establishing AI governance, standards, and delivery frameworks.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

• Design, develop, and deploy enterprise-grade AI and Generative AI solutions using Azure OpenAI, Azure ML, Databricks, Python, FastAPI/Flask, and modern cloud-native technologies.
• Architect scalable AI platforms and applications including AI copilots, enterprise search, intelligent document processing, workflow automation, and knowledge management solutions.
• Establish engineering best practices across CI/CD, MLOps/LLMOps, observability, security, model evaluation, responsible AI, and governance controls.
• Partner with business, technology, risk, compliance, and security teams to deliver secure, auditable, and measurable AI capabilities while helping build and mentor a high-performing AI engineering team.

What does this position pay?

Compensation is determined by several factors which may include skillset, experience level, and education.

The expected range for this role is $220,000-$275,000 base salary per year. Please note this range is an estimate and actual pay may vary based on qualifications and experience.
