Job summary

Daimler Truck North America is seeking a Lead AI Engineer to drive end-to-end AI solutions across Procurement and Supply Chain. You will lead a cross-functional team of AI Engineers, Data Engineers, and business stakeholders to design, develop, deploy, and realize business value from AI-enabled applications.

Hybrid work in Portland, OR, with望 4 days in-office and 1 day remote. You will balance technical execution with product ownership and stakeholder management to scale AI projects

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• At least 1 year of group leader, project lead or mentoring experience.
• 2+ years in AI Engineering, Data Engineering, Software Development, or related areas.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, C++, TypeScript/JavaScript, SQL.
• Experience deploying AI/LLM-based solutions and data pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead AI application development, delivery, and adoption for business value.
• Define ontology, data integration, and platform architectures.
• Design APIs, integrations, and scalable AI platform components.
• Oversee operations, performance, and adoption metrics for AI apps.
• Foster AI literacy and change management across teams.
