Job summary

System One in Chantilly, VA seeks an experienced AI Engineer to lead AI architectures and cloud initiatives. The role blends development, security, and collaboration with pipeline teams across Sea-based systems to deliver robust AI-enabled solutions.

The position requires a TS security clearance with SCI/Poly eligibility and is a hybrid role with onsite and remote work possibilities. You will mentor teams and drive AI innovations in a DoD-focused environment.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in CS/engineering or related field with extensive experience.
• 10+ years leading distributed solutions and 5+ years in cloud environments.
• Experience with DoD 8570 IAT Level 2/3 and TS/SCI/CI poly.
• Proficiency with AWS, CI/CD tooling and security practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and deployment of AI architectures and security-aware AI tooling.
• Collaborate with pipeline, deployment and cloud teams for scalable AI solutions.
• Design, secure and automate AWS cloud initiatives to optimize AI experiences.
• Improve software flows, metrics, KPIs, and dashboards with AI enhancements.
• Apply SDLC/AGILE practices and oversee lifecycle of cloud-based services.
• Guide teams to deploy and configure services with AI tools.
