Job summary

AMPS Company in Alpharetta, GA is hiring a Senior AI Engineer to design, build, and operate AI-powered automation across AMPS using hosted LLMs. This hands-on role grants end-to-end ownership from prompts to integration into our applications.

You will work with Azure AI services, build RAG pipelines, and ensure secure data governance while collaborating with application teams and AI leadership to deliver measurable automation gains.

Qualifications

• 5-8+ years of software engineering experience with production applications.
• Experience integrating LLMs or AI/ML services via APIs into real apps.
• Hands-on prompt engineering and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
• Strong Python skills and experience with modern LLM tooling ecosystem.
• Experience wiring models to external systems via tool/function calling.
• Familiarity with responsible-AI, guardrails, and data governance.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• On-site work in Alpharetta, GA.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate LLM-powered features using hosted model services.
• Design iteratively on system prompts, templates, and orchestration logic.
• Build RAG pipelines over proprietary data to ground outputs.
• Integrate LLM capabilities into internal applications via APIs.
• Provide models with tools, context, and integrations to automate tasks.
• Evaluate models balancing quality, latency, cost, and data security.
• Implement evaluation, monitoring, guardrails, and drift detection.
• Collaborate with application teams and AI leadership to drive automation gains.
• Uphold data security and governance standards across the AI lifecycle.
