You will collaborate with engineers, researchers, and product managers, implement AI software components, and optimize for cost, latency, and throughput while mentoring engineers and shaping the AI roadmap at Capital One.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, AI, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related fields with 6+ years of AI/ML experience, or a Master's with 4+ years of AI/ML experience.
• 6+ years of programming experience in Python, Go, Scala, CUDA, or Java.

Responsibilities

• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver AI-powered products.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support AI software components (foundation models, LLMs, agents, vector search).
• Leverage Open Source and SaaS AI technologies (AWS Ultraclusters, Huggingface, VectorDBs, PyTorch).
• Invent optimization techniques to improve performance, scalability, cost, latency, throughput.
• Contribute to the long-term AI systems roadmap at Capital One.
• Lead multi-model orchestration pipelines and governance reviews.
• Mentor senior engineers and foster technical maturity.
