Job summary

The Home Depot is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to design, build, and optimize production-grade Agentic AI systems. You will work at the intersection of data science, ML engineering, and software engineering to translate AI concepts into enterprise-ready products.

You will develop scalable applications powered by LLMs, SLMs, RAG frameworks, and autonomous agents, building orchestration layers and the cloud deployment infrastructure for reliable, large-scale AI solutions.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in AI/ML/Software Eng with Python and modern software practices.
• Production-grade AI solutions using LLMs/SLMs/RAG, copilots, agents, multi-agent systems.
• Strong foundations in transformers, embeddings, deep learning, prompt engineering, vector databases.
• Experience building orchestration layers (task execution, routing, planning, workflows) and enterprise integrations.

Responsibilities

• Delivery: collaborate with UX, engineering, product management; ensure quality and change-control standards.
• Learning: engage with modern software design and ML practices to stay current.
• Support: monitor production, provide cross-team support, ensure service reliability and performance.
