Qualifications

• 7+ years shipping distributed backends, APIs, deployment pipelines.
• 2+ years building production RAG systems with vector databases.
• Built and deployed AI agents or multi-step LLM workflows in production.
• Built or contributed to an evaluation framework for LLM-based products.
• Reduced LLM API costs in production via routing, caching, or architecture.
• Experience with multiple LLM providers and prompt/token tradeoffs.
• Proficient in TypeScript and Python.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy production-grade AI agents and end-to-end workflows.
• Integrate LLMs with internal systems, APIs, and data sources with reliable abstractions.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to ship AI features quickly.
• Own and improve RAG pipelines across Pinecone namespaces, including chunking and embedding models.
• Build and maintain an evaluation framework with datasets, quality scoring, and metrics.
• Optimize model routing and tiering to improve unit economics and output quality.
• Instrument the AI layer for observability, including cost per request and token usage.
