Job summary

Innova Solutions in Jersey City, NJ is seeking a Senior AI Developer/Engineer for a 6+ month contract (W-2). The role focuses on building production-grade AI/ML systems, including retrieval quality and RAG techniques, with strong Python and cloud infrastructure experience.

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of development, 4+ in AI/ML, hands-on with LLM-based apps, and experience with Kubernetes, Databricks, SageMaker, and MLflow. Pay ranges $60-65/hr, onsite only, benefits available.

Qualifications

• MS in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, ML or related field or equivalent experience.
• Min 7 years development, 4+ years in AI/ML production.
• Hands-on with LLM-powered apps, tracing, evaluations and guardrails.
• Experience owning retrieval or recommendation quality in production.
• Practical RAG experience with embeddings and vector stores; Graph RAG a plus.
• Strong Python skills; knowledge of SQL and NoSQL data stores.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy AI/ML solutions with LLMs in production.
• Own retrieval quality metrics, evaluate models, and implement guardrails.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• Support model risk management and regulatory considerations.
