Job summary

Apple Inc. in San Francisco is seeking seasoned AI Software Engineers to advance on-device app intelligence for Siri. You will design interfaces, model app capabilities, and build on-device software to power Siri's end-to-end experiences across apps.

You will collaborate with app teams, explore new ML approaches, and run scalable experiments to demonstrate performance and reliability while defending architectural choices with working code and measurable results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or related field.
• 6+ years experience in developing ML/AI driven software.
• Proficiency in Python, Swift, Objective-C, or C++.
• Experience developing and evaluating ML Models and Algorithms using Python, PyTorch, SQL, and Tableau.
• Fluency with agentic coding tools like Claude Code for accelerating engineering productivity.
• Exceptional problem-solving and ability to drive alignment across teams on shared API surfaces.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of software features that enable end to end app experiences in Siri
• Develop ML models and AI driven algorithms for app intelligence to improve Siri capabilities
• Run experiments at scale on complex datasets to evaluate models and algorithms
• Research and evaluate new ML/AI technologies and design performant on-device and cloud modeling approaches
• Implement code that is well designed, easy to debug, and highly performant
• Diagnose failures in end-to-end app experiences and drive measurable quality improvements
• Contribute to the evaluation and telemetry loop to prove changes improved user outcomes
• Help inform architectural choices to support ML/AI features in the software stack
• Proactively optimize code for on-device latency, memory, and power budgets
• Leverage agentic coding to enhance engineering productivity and code quality
