Job summary

Apple Inc. in Cupertino, California is seeking an ML Data & Eval Engineer to advance on-device Siri models. You will design, build, and operate data pipelines and evaluation systems powering trained, evaluated, and deployable on-device models.

Qualifications

• Strong CS background in algorithms, data structures, and distributed systems.
• Python proficiency; experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud infra.
• Experience building large-scale data pipelines or distributed ML infra.
• Familiarity with ML lifecycle and frameworks like PyTorch or JAX.
• 4+ years of industry experience building production data or ML infrastructure.
• Experience with LLM data pipelines, synthetic data generation, or evaluation sets.

Responsibilities

• Build scalable data pipelines for curating, filtering, deduplicating, and versioning data behind LLMs and agents.
• Develop large-scale evaluation systems for agentic models and tool-usage tasks.
• Create pipelines to move models from training to Apple silicon, including conversion and quantization workflows.
• Improve ML workflow efficiency by removing bottlenecks in data loading, experiment tracking, and artifact management.
• Implement data quality checks, lineage, and governance tooling aligned with privacy principles.
• Collaborate across teams to ship robust data products and pipelines.
