Job summary

nou Systems, Inc. is seeking an experienced AI Engineer to design, train, and analyze AI/ML systems for defense and space-control marketspaces. You will work on DRL analytics, XAI, adversarial ML, and model interpretability, while shaping data strategy and MLOps pipelines.

The role requires strong Python development, hands-on deep learning experience, and the ability to lead a team across diverse projects. A mid-senior level professional with excellent communication skills will thrive here.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in computer science, math, physics, or a related field (or bachelor’s degree plus 2 additional years of experience).
• Strong intellectual curiosity and the ability to apply state-of-the-art research literature.
• Active Secret clearance is required or obtainable.
• Ability to lead and mentor junior engineers and work across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Architect AI solutions and navigate difficult tradeoffs.
• Identify and design training data sets for ML solutions.
• Implement and customize AI models from open literature.
• Develop MLOps pipelines to production.
• Communicate results in written and oral form to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Lead collaborations with other teams and contribute to proposals and conferences.
• Support multiple AI projects and contribute beyond individual effort.
