Job summary

nou Systems, Inc. is hiring an AI Engineer to join the Technical Solutions division, designing ML solutions from the lab to the field within missile defense, cybersecurity, and space control markets.

The role emphasizes hands-on ML development, working with data scientists and educating non-technical stakeholders on model capabilities and limitations. A Bachelor’s in a STEM field with 1–3 years of DL experience and an active Secret clearance is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field.
• Experience with AI development (RL, XAI, LLM).
• 1-3 years of hands-on experience with deep learning models using PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Jax.
• Active Secret clearance required or obtainable.

Responsibilities

• Develop, train, and analyze ML models for supervised learning and reinforcement learning.
• Collaborate with data scientists and educate non-data-science teams on ML value and limits.
• Identify and design training data sets for models.
• Implement and customize ML models from open literature.
• Visualize and communicate results in documents and presentations.
• Support multiple teams and collaborate effectively with teammates.
