Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, Inc. is seeking an experienced AI Engineer to design, build, and deploy intelligent AI assistants on Google Cloud Platform using Vertex AI and ADK.

You will craft multi-step agents, grounding, RAG, and orchestration for scalable, production-grade conversational workflows. The role emphasizes Python, LLM-based development, API design, and cloud-native patterns, with a focus on responsible AI and cost-efficient evaluation in production.

Competenze

• A BS/MS in CS/ML or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years software engineering with at least 2+ years in AI/ML or LLM-based agent development.
• Hands-on with Google Cloud Platform services, especially BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Cloud Run, or Cloud Functions.
• Experience building agentic applications with LLMs, prompt engineering, embeddings, and RAG.

Mansioni

• Design, build, and deploy intelligent AI assistants using Vertex AI and ADK.
• Create multi-step AI agents with tool use, sub-agents, callbacks, and session management for complex workflows.
• Integrate applications via Vertex AI SDKs for model invocation, tuning, and endpoints.
• Develop agent architectures with sequential, loop, parallel agents and custom hierarchies.
• Implement tool and function calling patterns to connect to enterprise APIs and databases.
• Apply responsible AI practices: safety filters, bias detection, guardrails, and content moderation.
• Architect scalable solutions using Vertex AI Agent Builder, Vertex AI Search, Cloud Run, Functions, Pub/Sub, and BigQuery.
• Develop evaluation and monitoring frameworks for quality, latency, cost and user satisfaction.
