Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior AI Engineer in Linthicum Heights, MD, onsite. You will design LLM orchestration frameworks, build data pipelines and databases for RAG architectures, and deploy AI tools in secure enclaves to support vulnerability identification.

You will work with leadership to implement automated testing, SIEM-ready pipelines, and ATO processes, applying LLM fine-tuning to strengthen mission capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus eight years of relevant experience or equivalent.
• Strong Python, LLM integration and data engineering capabilities.
• Experience with static analyzers, RAG workflows and both relational and vector databases.
• Familiarity with Agile, Git, Jira and Confluence; TS/SCI with Polygraph required.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain LLM orchestration frameworks coordinating analyzers, RAG systems and tests.
• Build and optimize data preprocessing pipelines to ingest and vectorize documents for LLMs.
• Create database solutions to support RAG, storage, and audit trails.
• Collaborate with systems engineers to deploy AI tools in secure enclaves with performance tuning.
• Support security assessments and ATO processes.
• Leverage AI/ML to fine-tune LLMs for vulnerability identification and mitigation.
