Job summary

Zapata Quantum is seeking a hands-on Senior Software Engineer to design and build a knowledge graph, ontology, and AI-enabled application related to quantum computing. You’ll work across the stack, focusing on architecture and implementation of knowledge graphs, graph and vector databases, RAG, and scalable AI-powered features.

You will lead architectural decisions, write production code, and collaborate with product and leadership to translate business needs into practical technical solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with production code.
• Strong full-stack fundamentals and system design skills.
• Experience with knowledge graphs, ontologies, and retrieval systems.
• Proven ability to design and maintain production web applications.
• Experience evaluating tradeoffs across frontend, backend, data, and infra.

Responsibilities

• Design and build knowledge graphs, ontologies, and AI-enabled app features.
• Develop scalable pipelines and agentic system components.
• Architect and ship a modern web application and APIs.
• Integrate AI-enabled capabilities like intelligent search and recommendations.
• Collaborate across product, design, and leadership; write production code.
