The position is hybrid in McLean, VA with a salary range of USD 130,000 to 165,000 annually. The role includes leading development for a browser-based GIS platform, integrating diverse data sources, and advancing AI/ML pipelines while ensuring security, governance, and reliability in collaboration with federal

Qualifications

• Expertise in PostgreSQL, PostGIS, Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript and enterprise GIS tech.
• Experience with security tooling and frameworks (NIST 800-53, FISMA, FedRAMP).
• Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, and Visio.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and sustainment of a cloud-based GIS platform.
• Architect and optimize enterprise applications using Angular, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
• Work with geospatial data models and services including PostGIS.
• Develop UI/UX features for geospatial visualization and real-time data processing.
• Integrate data from multiple sources into a unified operational platform.
• Modernize system architecture with cloud-native patterns and best practices.
• Identify and implement AI/ML capabilities to enhance geospatial analytics.
• Design AI/ML pipelines leveraging geospatial datasets to generate insights.
• Ensure security, governance, and quality standards across solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate mission requirements into scalable solutions.
