Job summary

Snowflake is hiring a senior AI engineer to own Cortex Code features end‑to‑end: design, prompt/tool engineering, evals, deployment, measurement and optimization. You’ll work with a small, high‑powered modeling and infrastructure team to ship enterprise‑grade coding agents that help customers work with data.

You will translate customer problems into products and experiments, partner with product and infra to productionize improvements, and uphold production reliability with robust metrics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics or related field; Master’s or higher preferred but not required.
• 5+ years of experience shipping AI features in production.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, TypeScript, Go.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a team.
• Optional experience with data pipelines, data modeling, retrieval systems, and semantic layers.

Responsibilities

• Own features end-to-end for Cortex Code products; build agentic workflows and evaluation pipelines.
• Build enterprise-grade context engineering: function calling, tool schemas, guardrails, agent teams, verification/repair.
• Partner with product and infra: translate customer problems into products and experiments; productionize improvements.
• Collaborate with an elite team of engineers to build great products.
