Job summary

William Blair is hiring a Senior AI Engineer to join the AI Innovation Function within the Investment Banking AI & Technology team. You’ll embed with deal teams to deliver impactful AI tools across data pipelines, ML models, LLM apps, and Salesforce integrations.

You’ll work on enterprise-grade AI features, rapid prototyping, and production-ready solutions, leveraging Azure, Databricks, and proprietary models to move bankers faster from origination to close.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software engineering with full-stack capability.
• Experience building applications or agents with LLMs and prompt engineering.
• Ability to design multi-agent ecosystems and orchestration patterns.
• Strong ML fundamentals and data pipelines experience.
• Familiarity with capital markets and investment banking workflows.

Responsibilities

• Build AI-powered features and agents integrated into Salesforce workflows.
• Develop LLM applications for banking use cases like automated analysis and deal status briefings.
• Design data pipelines for feature engineering and real-time analytics using Databricks and Dagster.
• Collaborate with deal teams to translate banker needs into working automation.
• Write well-tested, production-grade code and contribute to engineering standards.
