Job summary

FloQast is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to join our Core AI team to architect, build, and scale AI products powering our accounting automation platform. You will lead production AI systems, design a centralized AI platform, and ensure robust, compliant solutions for the accounting domain, mentoring the growing AI team and shaping technical direction across FloQast.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering with 4+ years backend for production apps.
• Mastery of Python, familiarity with AI frameworks, context engineering, scalable AI design.
• Experience integrating APIs and cloud environments, AWS preferred.
• Interest in LLM APIs, retrieval-augmented generation, conversational AI and MCP integrations.
• Proven ability to lead tech product initiatives and communicate complex designs.

Responsibilities

• Architect and lead development of production AI products including chatbots and document processing.
• Design and implement centralized AI platform with model routing and MCP integrations.
• Build scalable AI products integrating with accounting systems, repositories, and APIs.
• Master context engineering for reliable retrieval and multi-turn conversations.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Security to ensure robust, compliant AI solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the AI team and establish best practices.
