Job summary

Colt Technology Services Group Ltd. is building a Boulder-based AI team to develop and deploy AI in production. You will lead end-to-end AI use cases, from data access to multi-step agent workflows, collaborating with Colt teams and stakeholders across functions.

A strong software engineering background with hands-on AI is essential, with production readiness and scalable design in mind. You will work primarily in Python, with exposure to other languages, and participate in a hybrid in-office

Qualifications

• 8-10+ years building production software and owning end-to-end systems.
• Proficiency in Python, with capability in Java, Go, C#, or TypeScript preferred.
• Experience with APIs, CI/CD, and debugging live, customer-facing systems.
• Comfort with cloud platforms and production-scale data.

Responsibilities

• Design and build AI use cases end to end: data access, retrieval, model calls, orchestration and interfaces.
• Work with large language models via APIs and self-hosted inference for prompting, tool use, retrieval and multi-step workflows.
• Create evaluation harnesses and own them post-shipment.
• Integrate AI into Colt's existing enterprise systems and data.
• Collaborate with Colt teams across network ops, service delivery and finance.
• Move work from prototype to production, monitor performance, and handle production handoffs.
