Job summary

Aimpoint Digital is seeking a Forward Deployed AI Engineer to work directly with clients to design, build, deploy, and scale enterprise AI solutions. You will blend strong software engineering with modern AI to deliver production-ready systems.

You will design and deploy production AI applications, integrate AI capabilities into enterprise stacks, and ensure secure, observable, and governable deployments in client environments through collaboration across engineering and data science teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years building production applications.
• Experience with scalable backend systems and APIs.
• Comfort working across software engineering, AI development, cloud, and client engagement.

• As a Forward Deployed AI Engineer, you will work directly with clients to design, build, deploy, and scale enterprise AI solutions.
• You will combine strong software engineering fundamentals with modern AI technologies to deliver production-ready systems.

What You Will Do:

• Design, build, and deploy production AI applications, copilots, retrieval systems, and agentic workflows.
• Develop backend services, APIs, and application architectures that integrate AI capabilities into enterprise systems.
• Deploy AI solutions into production with appropriate security, observability, monitoring, evaluation, and governance.

What We Are Looking For:

• You have 3+ years of professional software engineering experience building production applications.
• You have experience building scalable backend systems, APIs, or distributed applications.
• You are comfortable moving between software engineering, AI application development, cloud architecture, and client collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with production APIs using frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, Spring Boot, .NET, and Express.
• Experience building multi-agent systems, AI agents, semantic search, vector databases, or knowledge graph retrieval applications.
• Consulting experience or experience working directly with enterprise customers.
