Job summary

Teradata is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to drive internal AI initiatives, designing scalable agent-based AI solutions and APIs while collaborating with platform, product, and engineering teams. You will mentor engineers, optimize performance, and stay current with AI/ML and cloud-native trends.

You will work within Teradata’s engineering team to build core AI platform components, delivering high-quality results and influencing design decisions across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in backend services or distributed systems.
• Proficiency in Java, Go, or Python for service development.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and working with SQL/NoSQL databases.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reliable backend systems.
• Collaborate with engineers and product partners to deliver end-to-end features.
• Build and secure RESTful APIs with clean data access patterns.
• Work with SQL/NoSQL databases to model data efficiently.
• Experiment with AI/ML tech, agentic AI, and LLMs.
• Mentor engineers and drive engineering best practices.
