Google DeepMind is seeking a software engineer focused on research-driven systems to build large-scale agentic data infrastructure and integrate AI models with production pipelines.

You will work at the intersection of research and engineering, creating experiments, prototyping architectures, and delivering 0-1 systems at pace while leveraging AI tools to boost velocity and capability. This role emphasizes collaboration with research teams and delivering measurable impact across Gemini projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience with large language models (LLMs).
• 2 years of experience developing and training ML models.
• Experience with Agentic integrations and Model Context Protocol.
• Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, CS, or equivalent.
• 2 years of experience with full-stack development.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills with attention to detail.
• A deep passion for AI technology and possibilities.

Responsibilities

• Build agentic data infrastructure at high velocity across the data stack.
• Bridge research and engineering to drive model hillclimbing and data integration into training pipelines.
• Build quality tooling and support gold-standard benchmarks with human-in-the-loop workflows.
