We’re seeking an experienced Senior AI Engineer with a strong AI development and software engineering background. This role leads our AI strategy and focuses on rapid prototype development, a durable AIOps/MLOps practice, and a roadmap delivering AI solutions to market, leveraging Generative AI and traditional AI (Machine Learning) on AWS.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Identify problems and solutions based on our Product and Technology strategy and ensure that the right AI approach is taken
- Build rapid prototypes and POCs that demo and evaluate the worth of AI solutions
- Develop MVP and production-grade AI and ML solutions that leverage Generative AI, agentic AI, and traditional Machine Learning (classifications, predictive analytics, deep learning) integrated with our SaaS and Mobile solutions for stellar user experiences
- Develop agentic AI solutions that solve real problems while architecting for performance, accuracy, cost, and safety using best-of-breed technologies on AWS
- Collaborate with AI Engineers, the broader Engineering team, Product, Customer Success, Marketing and other teams to understand customer needs, validate problem/solution fit, and gather feedback
- Apply a trust-first approach to AI development, emphasizing data quality, responsible AI practices, transparency, explainable AI, and cost optimization while maintaining high accuracy/relevance
- Assist in selecting third-party solutions, data sources, and services that complement our roadmap
- Work with data engineering to assess and improve data pipelines and data quality for training, tuning, and consumption in RAG and agent tasks
- Use and improve CI/CD pipelines for AI/ML development, including containers, microservices, and AWS infrastructure
What You’ll Need On Day One
- Proven track record in developing practical, production-grade AI solutions with traditional AI (machine learning, predictive analytics, classification) and Generative AI, including prompt engineering
- 5+ years of Python development experience and FastAPI or equivalent
- 3+ years of CI/CD pipeline automation using containers and microservices
- 2+ years of RAG experience with concepts such as HYDE, semantic search, chunking tuning, re-ranking, and experience with frameworks like LangChain, Haystack, or AWS Bedrock knowledge base
- 2+ years experience with multimodal LLMs
- 1+ years of experience developing agentic AI workflows using tools such as Bedrock Agents, LangChain, LangGraph, Autogen, Claude, OpenAI or equivalent, preferably on AWS
- 1+ years experience configuring guardrails for bias, content relevance and accuracy, with security and privacy practices against model jailbreaking and prompt injection
- 1+ years experience implementing AI QA practices to automate quality testing in AI CI/CD, including unit tests and drift detection
- 5+ years of experience developing customer-facing AI/ML solutions as well as internal business process AI/ML
- 3+ years experience with Jupyter Notebooks or equivalent for data analysis and solution thinking
- 10+ years of computer science fundamentals including high-performance algorithms and data structures
- 5+ years in a cloud environment with AWS or other providers, including caching and data flows
- 5+ years experience in an Agile development environment using Jira, Confluence, GitHub or equivalent
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
What Will Make You Stand Out
- Graph-based RAG and knowledge graph development experience using Neo4j or equivalent
- Development experience with vertical agents
- Model fine-tuning and prompt tuning experience with relevant frameworks
- Experience with Amazon Redshift, SageMaker
- Experience working with unstructured content, OCR, and computer vision systems for interpreting blueprints
