Job summary

deCircle is hiring in New York, NY or Chicago for a hybrid role that blends hands-on engineering, product collaboration, and ownership of end-to-end AI systems. You will translate venture ideas into working AI products, harden them for production, and build reusable primitives across projects.

The position offers a salary range of $190,000 to $250,000 per year plus bonus, platform equity, studio fund participation, and PE fund carry.

Qualifications

• 2 to 5+ years of experience at top quant firms or elite tech companies.
• Experience shipping and operating production AI systems with real users.
• Entrepreneurial instinct demonstrated through side projects or startup work.
• Top-tier STEM degree.
• Commercial EQ to work with non-technical stakeholders.
• Hybrid schedule: 3 days in office in NYC or Chicago.

• Build end-to-end agentic AI systems including agents, retrieval, orchestration, and tools for Studio ventures from 0-to-1 through PMF
• Own the path from product scope to ship, then harden the first product for production deployment
• Extract reusable primitives across projects to accelerate future builds
• Collaborate with product strategists and design partners to shape what gets built
• Operate effectively across different venture contexts and perform well in ambiguity

Requirements

• 2 to 5+ years experience with clear individual output at top quant firms (Citadel, Two Sigma, DE Shaw, Jane Street) or elite tech companies (Google, Stripe, Ramp, Databricks, Modal)
• Experience shipping and operating production AI systems with real users
• Entrepreneurial instinct, demonstrated through side projects, startup experience, or internal 0-to-1 work
• Top-tier STEM degree
• Commercial EQ to work with non-technical stakeholders
• Hybrid schedule: 3 days in office in NYC or Chicago
