Senior AI Engineer

Climate change is the defining challenge of our era, and technology is at the center of the fight. At Sweep, we're building a platform to help companies manage and reduce their climate impact. AI is a core part of our product strategy especially intelligent agents that support users in navigating complex sustainability and compliance challenges.

As a key member of the AI & Data team, you'll be focused on building, integrating, and maintaining AI agents that power real user interactions across Sweep's products. You'll work closely with product and engineering teams to bring intelligent, conversational, and context-aware agents to life with a focus on reliability, performance, and impact.

More specifically, your mission will involve :

• Building and deploying AI agents Design and productionize intelligent agents that enhance user experience within our ESG platform.
• Context management & grounding Build robust pipelines to feed agents the right context from internal data sources.
• Evaluation & quality monitoring Implement evaluation frameworks and feedback loops to measure usefulness, accuracy, and robustness of agents in production.
• Infrastructure & orchestration Set up scalable, reliable infrastructure to run agents at scale.
• Agent observability Ensure proper logging, tracing, and debugging tools are in place.
• Best practices & safety Define and enforce best practices for agent behavior, including guardrails, fail-safes, fallback strategies, and auditability.
• Cross-team collaboration Work hand in hand with designers, product managers, and backend engineers to create fluid user experiences powered by AI.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience working in AI, backend engineering, or data-driven product development

Strong experience in Python

Solid understanding of GenAI agent architectures, prompt chaining, and context injection

Experience deploying GenAI features to production with real users you know what "good" looks like

Experience with LLM orchestration frameworks

Experience designing and implementing evaluation methods from predefined test scenarios to insights from real user interactions to continuously refine and improve agent performance

Comfort with cloud infrastructure, containers, and CI / CD workflows

Familiarity with observability tools for LLMs and agents
