Job summary

EY’s Office of the CTO seeks senior engineers for the Advanced Forward Engineering team to design, build, and deliver AI-native systems within regulated client environments such as tax and finance. You will own end-to-end delivery, embed with clients, and ensure solutions are deployable, auditable, and trusted in production.

Qualifications

• 5+ years delivering complex software in enterprise or regulated environments.
• Experience in customer-facing or consulting engineering roles.
• Hands-on experience building and deploying distributed systems, APIs, integrations, or data-intensive applications.
• Practical experience with modern AI stacks (LLMs, agentic workflows, orchestration frameworks).
• Proven track record owning delivery in real-world conditions.
• Production-grade code operating under compliance, performance, reliability constraints.
• Ability to collaborate with engineering, architecture, security, and governance teams.

Responsibilities

• Embed directly with client teams to frame problems under regulatory and operational constraints.
• Own end-to-end delivery from shaping through deployment and early sustainment.
• Implement and manage AI-enabled workflows, agentic systems, orchestration logic, and integrations using platform capabilities and templates.
• Write and review production-quality code (e.g., LangGraph, Python, orchestration layers).
• Make real-time delivery tradeoffs balancing functionality, safety, cost, and timelines, and explain decisions to stakeholders.
• Ensure solutions comply with security, AI integrity, and FinOps constraints for safe-to-ship approvals.
• Capture field learnings and provide evidence-based feedback to improve platform evolution.
• Collaborate with integration, platform, and architecture teams to reduce rework.
