Palo Alto Networks in California is seeking a Sr Staff Security Researcher to advance AI-assisted vulnerability research. You will design, implement, and improve AI/security harnesses to discover, validate, and report high-impact vulnerabilities in real-world software and open-source projects.

You will leverage LLMs, AI agents, fuzzing, static and dynamic analysis, reverse engineering, exploitability analysis, and security automation to build reliable workflows for vulnerability discovery, PoC

Qualifications

Master's degree or equivalent practical experience.
5+ years of vulnerability research or security research.
Demonstrated original security research outputs (CVEs, disclosures, papers).
Experience with reproducible security experiments and evaluation.
Strong programming skills and OS/network knowledge.
Excellent technical writing and reporting abilities.

Responsabilités

Design, build, and improve AI/security harnesses for vulnerability research with reproducibility in mind.
Lead evaluation pipelines, root-cause analyses, and report findings clearly.
Perform deep analysis across real-world software and OSS, including reverse engineering and fuzzing.
Develop reusable research infrastructure and automation for benchmarking and triage.
Contribute to open-source security tooling and responsible disclosures where appropriate.
