Job summary

Advanced Drainage Systems is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Ohio to design, build, and modernize full-stack applications on the Microsoft stack, with emphasis on AI-enabled development. You will lead end-to-end projects, drive architectural decisions, and mentor peers in best practices and AI integration.

You will collaborate across product and engineering teams, ensure scalable, secure software, and contribute to modernizing legacy systems using ASP.NET Core, TypeScript, and Azure

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field — or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain applications across the Microsoft stack — C#/.NET backend and TypeScript/React frontend.
• Integrate applications with enterprise/external systems via RESTful APIs.
• Direct AI coding agents to implement, test, and refactor features.
• Build and maintain AI-native tooling: custom instructions, prompt files, custom agents, and Agent Skills.
• Apply context engineering and multi-agent workflows to assemble the right context and guardrails.
• Review AI-generated and human-written code for correctness, security, performance, and architecture.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, and deploy to Azure.
• Ensure security, performance, and scalability of web applications across the stack.
• Mentor engineers in software fundamentals and AI-native practices; stay updated on tools.
