Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a Software Engineer to drive the AI-powered Software Development Lifecycle within a hybrid delivery model.

You will own end-to-end development, from designing scalable AI agents to producing production-ready code, while aligning with security and compliance standards. The role focuses on enabling enterprise AI initiatives, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams, and delivering high-quality software that minimizes customer impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Six to eight years of relevant experience.
• 8+ years of development and architectural experience.
• Expert in Python programming.
• Experience with React.js and Typescript.
• Experience with REST API architectures including Auth Flows.
• Experience in GenAI/Agentic AI applications (MCP, LangChain, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, autogen, Azure AI Foundry).
• Developing solutions using vector databases (FAISS) and Azure AI Services.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, operate and maintain Enterprise AI Agents.
• Take full stack ownership by writing production-ready, testable code.
• Ensure designs are scalable, reliable, and performant.
• Analyze failures, propose design changes, and improve operations.
• Incorporate feedback from code reviews to meet standards.
• Conduct code reviews and mentor on engineering best practices and compliance.
• Ensure all aspects of product development follow security and compliance standards.
• Embrace emerging technologies and contribute to bankwide technology transformation.
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Prioritize and size tasks for incremental delivery, flag blockers early.
