Amazon Manufacturing Services (AMS) seeks a Sr. Process Engineer to lead AI/ML driven optimization across existing and new facilities.

You will drive throughput, reduce cycle times, and implement advanced control for multi-robot systems, while bridging simulation and production reality with digital twins. The role collaborates with product engineering and operations, applying reinforcement learning and data-driven methods to maximize output under labor constraints.

Qualifications

• Experience developing functional specifications, design verification plans and test procedures.
• Background in manufacturing, process, or industrial engineering.
• Knowledge of Machine Learning and LLM fundamentals, including transformer architecture and training/inference lifecycles.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead data-driven throughput improvement initiatives across current production lines.
• Conduct bottleneck analysis using simulation and real-world data.
• Execute cycle time reduction projects with AI-optimized parameters.
• Develop setup optimization strategies to maximize output within equipment and labor limits.
• Apply statistical process control and continuous improvement methods enhanced by ML.
• Design and optimize automated processes including robotic pick-and-place and assembly.
• Develop control strategies for multi-robot coordination and collaboration.
• Implement vision systems, sensors and data collection for AI/ML model training.
• Bridge simulation-to-reality with digital twins and validate predictions against performance.
