Edwards Lifesciences seeks a Distinguished Software Architect to design and deliver scalable, AI-enabled and cloud-enabled software for regulated medical-device products. You will drive architectural strategy, mentor teams, and ensure compliance within a highly regulated environment.

The role is fully on-site at the Irvine, CA headquarters, with responsibilities spanning web, mobile, and distributed systems and close collaboration with product, engineering, design, and regulatory teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field with 12 years of experience or a Master's with 10 years.
• Progressive software engineering experience, including architecture and full-stack development.
• Experience developing software for regulated medical devices or healthcare products with IEC 62304.
• Strong cloud-based and cloud-native design, APIs, services, data platforms, security, DevOps.
• Fluency with Generative AI tools, LLM workflows, and AI-assisted development.
• Experience leading architecture across web, mobile, and distributed systems.

Responsabilités

• Lead architectural design and full-stack development across mobile and web platforms.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define software requirements and translate into compliant solutions.
• Mentor development teams in software development, DevOps, and Agile practices.
• Drive risk management and QA with IEC 62304 aligned validation and documentation.
• Contribute to strategic planning, including roadmap decisions and system architecture.
• Other duties as assigned.
