Job summary

EPAM Systems Inc. is seeking a Senior Full Stack JavaScript Engineer to build production features end-to-end—from database to API to UI—integrating AI-assisted development into daily workflows.

You will own feature work on the stack (Node.js, React, PostgreSQL/Redis, AWS or other cloud) and use AI tools like GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code to accelerate delivery while ensuring code quality and reliability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience as a full stack engineer.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and experience with Node.js and React.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Daily production experience with AI coding assistants (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code).
• Ability to critically review AI-generated code and manage prompts.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under delivery pressure.
• Advanced English (B2+).
• Nice to have Python.
• Background in platform engineering, observability, and reliability engineering.
• Understanding of system design.
• Experience configuring multi-step agentic workflows with MCP integrations and safe parallel AI agents.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship full stack features across the JavaScript/TypeScript stack — frontend (React, Next.js), backend (Node.js), and the database layer.
• Own tasks end-to-end: implementation, testing, code review, and documentation.
• Use AI coding assistants daily to implement tasks, generate tests, debug, and explore the codebase.
• Apply prompt engineering and context management to get reliable, on-target output from AI tools.
• Review AI-generated code critically before merging — validate correctness, check for hallucinated logic, and understand every change shipped.
• Integrate with cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP) and third-party services as needed.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and sprint planning.
• Resolve production issues across the stack, using AI tools to accelerate root-cause analysis where useful.
