Strategic Data Systems, Inc. (SDS) is hiring a Senior Software Engineer in Cincinnati. This hybrid role requires strong backend experience in Java/Spring Boot, with potential in .NET and Python.

You will work across full-stack areas and lead teams to adopt XP practices in an AI-augmented environment. You will collaborate with practice leads to define patterns, mentor peers, and drive AI-enabled software delivery for Fortune 100 and growing clients.

Qualifications

• Requires strong programming experience and expertise across Java/Spring Boot and modern full‑stack development.
• Minimum 8 years of professional programming experience.
• Experience with AI coding tools and patterns, including agentic approaches.
• Proficiency in multiple languages and paradigms; comfortable with polyglot codebases.
• Bachelor's degree in CS or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Partner with practice leads to set architectural patterns and standards.
• Drive improvements in development practices and XP techniques.
• Champion AI-first delivery and establish internal playbooks for AI-assisted development.
• Contribute deep technical expertise across the full stack (Java/Spring Boot, .NET, or both).
• Mentor others and collaborate in a fast-moving, team-first environment.
