Job summary

Software Resources in the United States is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to design and build a text-to-SQL pipeline, semantic layer, and AI-driven portfolio reporting. You will integrate LLM APIs, establish guarded data access, and support Power BI environments.

Lead architecture decisions, document systems end-to-end, and collaborate with data engineering to ensure scalable, reliable dashboards and reporting across tools like Smartsheet, Jira, Clarity PPM, SAP, and ServiceNow.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of full-stack engineering experience with Python and/or TypeScript/JavaScript and strong server-side/API design.
• Strong SQL and data warehouse experience with Snowflake/BigQuery/Redshift.
• Hands-on experience with LLM APIs, prompt engineering, tooling calls, and summarization.
• Practical experience with RAG architecture, embeddings, and vector databases.
• Front-end experience building analytical interfaces with React/Next.js and data visualization libraries.
• Ability to work independently in ambiguous environments and document architecture decisions.
• Strong technical and functional documentation skills.
• Experience designing governed API layers across multiple systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and build text-to-SQL pipeline converting natural language questions into SQL queries.
• Develop a semantic layer defining table relationships, meanings, and business terminology.
• Implement retrieval over schema docs, logic, and examples to improve accuracy.
• Create multi-step agent workflows with clarification and error recovery.
• Integrate LLM providers for query generation and orchestration.
• Build guardrails for query validation, cost limits, and access control.
• Develop dashboards and UI for results, charts, and summaries.
• Support Power BI data models, DAX, and calculated tables.
• Create and maintain API gateways for governed data access.
