Job summary

First Solar is seeking an experienced full‑stack software engineer to design, develop, and maintain AI‑powered web apps with React/TypeScript frontends and Python/FastAPI backends. You will deploy on Azure, build scalable, containerized solutions, and implement CI/CD pipelines, IaC, and data pipelines across diverse AI workstreams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field is required.
• Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or related discipline preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of professional full stack web development experience with modern web frameworks and cloud-native architectures.
• Experience with AI/ML integration, LLM-based app development, Azure cloud services, and DevOps practices is highly preferred.
• Experience designing and building ETL/ELT data pipelines, data ingestion workflows, or data platform architectures is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain full stack web apps using React/TypeScript and Python/FastAPI for AI-powered tools.
• Architect scalable, cloud-native solutions on Azure including Kubernetes and networking components.
• Integrate LLMs, AI agents, and ML models into production applications to support analytics and decision-making.
• Build and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines from heterogeneous sources (SQL, APIs, files).
• Develop CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps for automated testing, builds, and deployments.
• Create IaC with Terraform to provision and manage Azure resources.
• Create data-driven dashboards and analytics platforms for performance and operations use cases.
• Implement security, coding standards, and RBAC/OAuth/OIDC across applications.
• Lead coding standard adoption, reusable components, and architectural best practices.
• Provide mentorship and participate in code reviews and technical design discussions.
