Job summary

512Financial seeks a Senior Software Engineer to lead AI-assisted development across a CPaaS platform handling voice and messaging workloads. You’ll shape AI-native workflows, write robust APIs, and drive reliability in production systems.

The role emphasizes mentoring teammates and adopting new tooling to raise velocity and quality. The position is hybrid, based in the Raleigh, NC area, with in-office presence Wednesday and Thursday.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience, ideally with backend/API work or high‑reliability distributed systems.
• Deep fluency with AI coding tools and practical know‑how for production workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship features across Voice, Messaging, and Platform Services.
• Use AI coding assistants as a core part of daily workflow and mentor others.
• Evaluate and pilot AI development tools and guardrails for the team.
• Design, build, and run AI agents to automate testing, monitoring, and code migration.
• Integrate AI workflows into CI/CD, code review, and QA processes.
• Support production systems handling real-time voice/text traffic, with on-call rotation.
• Collaborate with product management on scoping, estimation, and tradeoffs.
• Document decisions and workflows for a distributed team.
